MindSpring Consulting, Inc. began in 1993 on a shoestring budget. With one desk, one chair and an upgraded Mac Classic computer of 10 megabytes, MindSpring rented a space in Asheville’s Haw Creek Valley for over 10 years. We built a new training center and moved into our new space on Tunnel Road in East Asheville in 2006.

Our work focuses on three areas of development:

BusinessWorks: The focus of BusinessWorks is the development of significant organizational, leadership, and personal skills in the workplace. From an organizational basis, we believe strongly that the excellence of your organization will not exceed the degree to which its people are being developed. From an individual basis, we believe the future of your personal and professional life hinges on the degree to which you can understand and master the forces and dynamics that are shaping them.

TeacherWorks: The focus of TeacherWorks is providing educators and administrators with the skills needed to create exceptional outcomes in the learning and teaching experience. To achieve this, educators must become instructional leaders and must be able to design instructional strategies that truly engage students.

LifeLines: We view each and every human being as having the capacity to live a rewarding and satisfying life. But while we believe each person has potential, we know from experience that potential has to be developed and that is the role we choose: facilitators of human growth. We have found four essential ingredients related to healthy adult living:
